Not Dead Yet

Do you love Monty Python as much as we do?

We had this same situation with one of the trees in the orchard. With the heavier than normal frost this year and our inability to get to Redemption enough, the citrus trees took a beating. At least a third of the young trees died. So this spring, as the apples and the plums are flourishing:

Most of the citrus awaits the guy with the cart to come by and pull them out of the ground.

But if you look closely, just above Chaos’s eyebrow, you’ll see that this tree just held up a little sign that says, “I’m not dead yet!” There amongst all the blackened branches are a few scraggly green leaves.

I guess it won’t hurt to let it stay in the ground a while and see if it can make something of itself. If it can survive a cold winter and the gophers, I suppose we owe it the opportunity to flourish.

On to my Citroen and blood orange, “Bring out your dead!”

I believe The Boy would like a post with the black night next or the battle with the French. Whats better than limbs getting cut off or the word “fart” to a nine year old.
